DELRIN® AF DE588 is a 20% PTFE filled homopolymer acetal that is used primarily by the United States Navy. The resin is manufactured by DuPont and is used extensively in a variety of applications primarily on submarines. This advanced acetal material uses a combination of PTFE fibers uniformly dispersed in Delrin acetal resin. Ertalyte® is an unreinforced, semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester based on polyethylene terephthalate (PET-P). Polysulfone is a high temperature, amber colored, semi-transparent plastic material with good mechanical properties. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a soft, low friction fluoropolymer with outstanding chemical resistance and wear resistance. It is often used in high temperature environments, and also has excellent electrical insulating properties. The best known brand name of PTFE-based formulas is Teflon® by DuPont. Rexolite® is a rigid, transparent insulating material made by an irradiation cross-linking process. Rexolite® is one of the best dielectric materials known with a dissipation factor 200 times better than nylon. In contrast with other high temperature, ultrahigh frequency dielectrics, Rexolite® has the rigidity and ability to resist deformation under load.

PPSU is a high temperature thermoplastic material with outstanding impact resistance. It is resistant to hot water and steam and can withstand repeated autoclave cycles. Thermoset Composite materials have extremely high strength and stiffness at a relatively low cost.
